The Raceday Stewards enquired into the rider's first approach to the starter involving Combs, ridden by D.J Gilligan, Puppet Master, ridden by E. Finegan, Crystabel, ridden by D. King, and Speisialta, ridden by E. Staples where it appeared the riders may have failed to comply with instructions from the starter. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. J. Gilligan stated that once one horse went they all did. E. Finnegan stated that he did not want to be handy but his mount went when the others did. D. King stated that his mount was on her toes but he was always taking a pull. E. Staples stated that his mount can be difficult and he would have been left had they gone. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found D. J. Gilligan, E. Staples, D. King and E. Finegan were in breach of Rule 208 (v)(b) in that they had not complied with the instructions given by the starter. Having considered D. J. Gilligan's record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two race days. Having considered E. Finegan's record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for one race day. Having considered D. King's record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for one race day. Having considered E. The Raceday Stewards requested a report from P.A.Fahy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of You Make Me Smile, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. P. A. Fahy stated that the slower ground today coupled with a drop in trip may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

328F Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Fuusland, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed second, and Rememberwhat, ridden by B.P. Kennedy, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. J. Gilligan stated that the horse on his inside was coming out to meet him from the back of the last all the way to the line and his mount was intimidated and it also received a bump. B. P. Kennedy stated that his mount moved marginally to its left but he straightened it immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Rememberwhat had caused minor interference to Fuusland it had not improved its finishing position as a result so they made no alteration to the Judge's placings. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no riding offence had occurred so they took no further action.

D.J Gilligan, rider of Fuusland, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure from his inside in the last one hundred and fifty yards.
